Glasgow Community and Safety Services - Services

About Us

Community Safety

Glasgow Community and Safety Services (GCSS) Ltd is an organisation with charitable status which aims to prevent crime, tackle antisocial behaviour and promote community safety.  We are jointly owned by Strathclyde Police and Glasgow City Council and bring together 500 staff from these organisations as well as Strathclyde Fire and Rescue and Glasgow Community Safety Partnership.

Community and Safety Services (CSS) is the trading subsidiary of GCSS which we set up in 2009 to expand the delivery of our security services beyond Glasgow City Council to include the private and voluntary sectors.  Key service solutions include, for example, CCTV and Security Services, Lone Worker Technologies, and consultancy and client management
services.  Corporate Social Responsibility plays a significant role within our organisation which sees all profits re-invested back into our charity, GCSS, helping to make Glasgow a safer, better, cleaner city.

GCSS has recently been awarded Approved Contractor Status for Security Patrols, Keyholding and Public Space CCTV.
